Through the “FutureWork360” project, the Fraunhofer Institute is presenting its research on the work of the future; the exhibits, which are on display in the real-life laboratories in Stuttgart, can be experienced with the help of virtual reality – and thus independently of time and place.
The virtual laboratories show application scenarios that have been tested and evaluated under realistic conditions: technical innovations, work processes, environments and organizational forms that will shape the industrial work of the future are vividly presented and brought to life.
The “FutureWork360” project is being carried out as part of the Research Marketing Campaign by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The project initiators are the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO and the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA. “FutureWork360” receives technical assistance from Ingenieurbüro Hemminger and communications guidance from the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative.
